The resort is comfortable but not fancy, the food is consistently good but don't expect gourmet, plenty of close by restaurants if you choose to eat off site.
Roatan is our new favorite, overall better than cozumel and we love cozumel.

We actually met another family from the Denver area, and they switched to this hotel so they could be on the beach and also because the pool was so nice. I really enjoyed watching the sunset while sitting on a swing at the beach bar and sipping a fancy cocktail. Staff were super friendly and helped us arrange all the things to do. The food was also really good. I highly recommend the seafood soup!

Also the hotel offers some activities so you can sign up, in my case I opted for yoga in the mornings and the walk to the other side of the island. we also took a water taxi near the hotel for $5 to west end. It is a very pleasant and quiet place to be without much noise. His staff is wonderful, Marvin works with the beach chairs and he is always attentive to the guests, in the restaurant Pamela, Mario and Erika are the best and ask for the Mojitos and Monkey Lala that Bartender Tyron makes, because they are super delicious. Suleyka at the airport received me very kindly and the bus driver Danilo is excellent. I could mention more such as Andrea is always attentive to the needs of the clients and the night receptionist is always willing to solve any inconvenience with a smile. Anyway, I'll be back in August to enjoy more!
